In my mind, Ronnie Coleman greatest of all time.
He holds the record for the number of Mr Olympia wins at 8 in a row.
He dominated his era and did so in style. Ronnie didn’t have any fancy training techniques or high end gym. He trained hard, heavy and in one of the most hardcore gyms in the world.
In the video above you can see some of Ronnie lifts in the gym. He trained very basic and real heavy.
Some of his regular gym lifts included:
- 400lb shoulder presses
- 500lb bench press
- 700lb squats
- 600lb front squats
- 800lb deadlifts
- 500lb barbell rows
This created a dense, thick muscle mass that hadn’t been seen before in bodybuilding.
Ronnie went from 9th in the 1997 Olympia all the way to 1st in 1998 and held the title for 8 years straight.
One of a Kind
If you’ve ever been lucky enough to meet Ronnie in person you’d know he is the real deal.
We were fortunate enough to be able to train legs with Ronnie and he still has the same winning mindset.
Despite not competing anymore he still trains to get better and pushes himself every workout.
Ronnie Coleman Greatest of all Time
With the 2015 Mr Olympia taking place this past week there has been talks of the best Olympia winner.
In our minds this is without doubt Ronnie Coleman.
Not only for the number of wins but for the dominating fashion in which he did it.
