Rule 1 Whey Blend review as the name suggests is a lean whey protein blend.
This is from US-based company Rule 1 who is relatively new to the Australian market but making a big impact.
This is the same people who founded supplement giant Optimum Nutrition so they know a thing or two about making a good protein powder.
When it comes to building muscle protein intake is very important and whey protein, in particular, is seen as the optimal source due to its fast digesting nature and high biological value.

Rule 1 Whey Blend Review
This is a relatively simple formula which is made up of three types of whey protein.
R1 Protein Whey Blend uses primarily whey protein concentrate in this protein blend.
Whey concentrate is naturally high in immunoglobulins which are excellent for immune health & also very good for digestion. The concentrate also helps with giving the powder a nice texture and thickness and is slightly slower digesting to fuel your muscles for longer.
Next in the blend is whey protein isolate. Even more, filtered than WPC this is a very high protein, low carbohydrate/fat protein source which is ideal at times of the day when you need a fast digesting protein source such as first thing in the morning and post-workout.
WPI is seen as the king when it comes to post-workout recovery and it's also very low in lactose which makes it easy to digest.
The last protein source is whey protein hydrolysate. This is even faster digesting than straight WPI which makes it ultra-light on your stomach and readily available to start the growth and repair process.
Add in some flavours, thickeners and that's what's in it.
Rule 1 Whey Blend comes in a variety of sizes and flavours options.
It comes in 2lb,5lb and 10lb sizes which provides an option for just about every usage level.
The flavours include chocolate fudge, vanilla, strawberry and cookies & creme. These are the most popular flavours across almost all protein powders so Rule 1 has gone with the safest option.
The powder mixes very well and the flavours are exceptional! After trying both chocolate and vanilla I was quite impressed with the flavour systems in this protein powder.
The flavours are strong without being overpowering sickly sweet. This is certainly something you'll look forward to having any time throughout the day.
Value For Money
This is where the Whey Blend from Rule 1 comes into its own. With a 10lb/4.55kg bag retailing for just $159.95 this comes out to $1.17/serve!

This is a simple, versatile, delicious and versatile protein powder. If you're looking for a protein powder that you can have at any time throughout the day including post-workout or even before bed, look no further.
