So how do you stop yourself from making this mistake? Simple! Make you weight loss sustainable! You don't need to go balls to the wall with you diet and make huge changes. Start small, limit yourself to eating out once a week. Or getting your carbs in around training and you will notice huge long term changes!
A fad diet is just that, a fad! It's short term. A fad diet can certainly make you lose weight in the short term, but they are not sustainable. Doing a diet like Keto is setting yourself for failure 95% of the time, because in the real world people eat carbohydrates.

Find yourself alternatives to drinking. If your normal idea of catching up with friends is going out to a bar and catching up over a few drinks, substitute the bar to a restaurant. That way you can still catch up, eat some food and make it not as obvious you are not drinking.
