Vegetable consumption is often a love, hate relationship. Think about it this way, if you are able to do heavy lifts in the gym, cope with daily youstresscanget... through a few mouthfuls of veg.

There comes a time in your life where your health becomes more important than your tastebuds. Do not skimp on the nutrient powerhouses of your diet. Sometimes you just have to give things a try and put behind the exucuse 'I tried that once once and didn't like it'.

If you honestly can not handle eating a plate of veggies, here are some yummy, sneaky ways to get your vegetable intake in.

Blend  

A latest food trend is to have smoothies. There are so many recipes available that give ideas on what to blend together. This doesn't mean you have to chuck a bag of carrots to your smootie... just simply something like a tossed handful of spinach. The best thing about having this option is that you honestly can not taste the veggies and it is very nutrient dense. Do not be alarmed by the colour that your smoothie may turn - it will taste delicious.

Try this smoothie for breakfast:

1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein

200g Mixed Berries

1 Cup of Spinach

1/2 of water (add more or less water to get desired consistancy

1 TBSP of Chia Seeds

Sandwhich 

A sandwhich... the good old classic staple. We encourage you to jazz up your sandwhich with some colour by adding  some veggies! Add a bunch of salad ingredients, grilled veggies etc. and before you know it, you have had a few servings of veg for the day. The added veggies will also add a nice crunch and a burst of nutritious vitamins and minerals!

When making your sandwhich, we suggest skipping any creamy sauces (ie. mayonaise), use wholemeal, grainy bread over white, use a lean meat protein and a savoury cheese if desired. 

Scramble
