With exercise, it is important we learn to embrace it rather than endure it. We do understand that everyone does enjoy different things. Exercise is not always ones preferred choice.
However, be aware that you can't put a price on your health. Treat your body as a temple and nourish it!
Let's admit it, there are time we have all been guilty of, of making up 'excuses' not to exercise. However, know that excuses are not a reason not to go and exercise! They may provide justification to not doing something but are often made up scenarios.
So in this article, we are providing commons examples of the 'excuses' people make to avoid exercise. Let us explain as to why all are not acceptable excuses. We encourage you to overlook the excuses and get on with it.
It takes more energy to make up 'excuses' and procrastinate, rather than to be brave, get up and get on with it! The quicker exercise is done, the sooner it will over. Please trust us when we say... you will thank yourself afterwards for so. You will feel relieved, restored (mentally & physically), relaxed and revived.
Let us tell you when people are exercising, they are much more concerned and focused on what they are doing as opposed to what you are doing.
As people are focused, they will often have their concentration face on. This may make them appear as scary or mean people. But trust us when we say, you have nothing to be afraid or intimidated of... they will be more than happy to assist if you ever need help and most likely are very nice people!
Secondly, no one is going to judge you. There is no need to be embarrassed in the slightest but be proud you have made the effort to be there. Others are more than impressed you are there trying to improve and better yourself and your health.
Thirdly, remember, everyone else started somewhere too. The people who look extremely fit have worked hard, dedicated time and obviously their lifestyle to be where they are... and so can you!
You will find in most exercise environments everyone acts as a community, supporting, pushing and encouraging one another.
It's too hot, it's too cold....no excuses! It's quite simple, if it's cold, layer up and ensure you work up a sweat to be able to remove those layers. If it's hot, perfect! Easier for you to break a sweat and burn calories - just ensure you keep hydrated! Another added bonus for a hot day is, there is not another refreshing feeling like having a cold shower after your sweaty workout.
Or maybe you're putting off exercise because 'its a nice day', once again, easily fixed! Skip the gym and exercise outside!
Look, we understand life - it can be hectic! However, exercise makes you feel refreshed! That drained feeling disappears as soon as you get going and get on with it.
Furthermore, it has been proven exercise actually increase sleep quality. So it makes sense, exercise and you will feel more rested in daily life from the good quality sleep that you get.
If you balance your day out evenly, you have 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work and 8 of play. In your 8 hours of play, we are sure it is possible to sacrifice 30 minutes to 1 hour to exercise.
There are many people like you that manage jobs, families, personal commitments etc., and are still able to find time to exercise. It all comes down to prioritising, respecting your health and bettering yourself.
You can do it!
Yes, we understand an injury may be a valid reason for your lack of exercise.
However, there are ways around this. If you have had an injury, it most likely you will be assigned a rehab program. You will need to exercise to strengthen up the of injury and make it stronger.
There are always low impact exercise classes you could do like yoga!
Always confirm with your doctor or health professional to ensure the rehab you are doing is safe.
'I'll start tomorrow', 'I'll start next week', 'I'll make it my New Years resolution'... how about save yourself energy and time and just start now. We guarantee you will be you so glad you started sooner rather than later. You will feel happier, healthier, more energised and will result in an overall more improved lifestyle.
This is a very common fear. As soon as people mention the word exercising, (in particular gym work) they fear their body changing drastically over a few sessions. Let us assure you, a few gym sessions will not (and are almost impossible!!) to turn you into a bodybuilder overnight To look the way a fit person does, takes time, strict dieting and dedication. Please believe it is very hard to reach this type of look and you will have no problem if your goal is purely just to get fit and improve your weight.

We can't stress enough how great exercise will make you feel - and not to mention the health benefits. After realising the amazing effects of exercise we assure you that you will be pinching yourself as to why you didn't start sooner.
