Rule 1 R1 Protein Supplement Review is a very clean, high protein WPI from US-based company Rule 1.
This is the same people who created Optimum Nutrition so they know a thing or two about making a good protein supplement.
They've certainly put that knowledge to good use here with this R1 Protein.
The Formula
This is a relatively simple formula which is exactly how it should be when it comes to a protein powder like this one.
It uses a blend of whey protein isolate (WPI) and whey protein hydrolysate.
This makes it very high in protein,very low in carbohydrates and fat and also low in lactose. So low in fact that R1 Protein has zero sugar and zero lactose.
This is a big deal when it comes to protein powders and there are very few on the market who can actually make this statement. If you've had issues with digesting protein powders in the past then it is most likely the lactose in the protein that is the issue, not the protein itself.
The Flavours
R1 comes in a range of flavours with the biggest range being in the 5lb size. The range includes chocolate fudge, vanilla, strawberry, lightly salted caramel, cookies & cream and choc peanut butter.
This is hands down one of the best tasting whey protein isolates I have ever tried. We try a lot of protein powders and to be honest it's very rare I get excited about them anymore but this was truly a surprise.
It mixes with ease, flavour was amazing and it also had a nice texture. Not watery at all and yet very light to drink.
If the other flavours in the range are half as good as the ones I've tried so far I think I'll be suitably impressed.
Value For Money
This is where this product really stands out from the crowd. The value on this product is very competitive. With 3 sizes to choose from all the way up to 10lb you can really get a fantastic value for money protein powder.

This is one hell of a product and ticks a lot of boxes. It's a great formula,the nutrient profile is fantastic,it mixes well,tastes amazing,has a wide variety of sizes/flavours and provides some of the best value for money today.
